Time flew by these past few months. Graduation is around the corner. There is about fifteen weeks of school left. In a few months I will be graduating, going out into the real world to pursue my dreams. At this point all I want to do is graduate from high school. I’m not nervous about graduation, but i’m nervous to walk across the stage during my graduation ceremony. The last time my parents saw someone walk across that stage was six years ago when my older sister graduated high school.
At this moment I am preparing myself for post-graduation. I currently have a job at Mcdonalds but I am on the hunt for a second part time job. So far I have applied to College of the Sequoias and Porterville College. I have also taken the placement test for Porterville College and I have also chosen some classes I will be taking. I am still undecided on which college I will be attending because PC doesn't offer the course I want to take but I have yet to take the placement test for COS. As of now it looks like I will be attending Porterville College since I have not yet taken the placement test for COS. I have also completed my FAFSA and cal-grant application. What I’m most looking forward to is my first year of college and taking the first step to success.
In order to graduate I must have economics, english 12, and spanish 3 done by June 3rd. I am currently marked as off pace in my economics class because my level 3 project is under going the grading process. I am also currently on pace in english. Spanish 3 is a class I must get done in order to walk in the ceremony because Spanish is my pathway and 3 years are required of it. Other than that I am currently doing okay in every other class.
I am looking forward to grad night. I am excited to see what 2016 has in stores for me. The first semester of senior year has been good to me; it’s brought me new experiences, laughs, happiness, and memories that I will cherish forever. I am thankful for the people who helped get me to where I am today and who have been there supporting me through each of my decisions. Everything is slowly starting to come to an end and things are definitely real. My heart will forever belong in the valley but I know there are bigger opportunities out there for me and I plan to take advantage of every chance to become successful.
Looking back to the first semester of my senior year I have realized that I have accomplished so much in one year. I am very grateful that I am not behind in any of my classes, and that I am successfully passing all my classes and will be on track to graduate. I am very excited to be walking across the stadium with my diploma in my hands next to all my close friends in front of hundreds of people.
